Keep it simple y’all. No need to go crazy on all the ingredients and lavish meals. If you need a quick healthy meal, this is it! Pick up some Spicy Chicken Sausage and asparagus (in season now) and be done with it. Make sure you get sausage that is nitrate and nitrite free! They are put in there to help preserve the meat but have been linked to certain cancers and other health issues.

If you want to get fancy and have a bit more time, add mushrooms and wild rice.

Asparagus & Sausage Dinner

Ingredients

  • Asparagus
  • Sausage (I like Trader Joes Spice Chicken Sausage)
  • Coconut Oil or Butter for pan
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Optional
  • Mushrooms
  • Wild Rice

Instructions

  1. Cut Sausage & Asparagus into bite sizes
  2. Heat pan with oil/butter
  3. Cook on medium heat until desired texture
  4. Enjoy!
