Here’s what three SUP Yoga Grads had to say:

“I really enjoyed the play! I loved that we got to learn on different bodies of water and different elements (HOT sun vs. rain). I feel the training was thorough and comprehensible. Katarina was professional and prepared with materials. My biggest AHA moment – Learning true presence. As soon as you’re not present to being on the board or any movement .. you let your mind wander, you’re in the water. SUP Yoga is a fun and powerful practice of being present in the moment.” – Megan

“As a former lifeguard and water safety instructor, I knew I had found a personal calling. Yoga? On the water? On a paddleboard? I was hooked before I even tried it. I went to the training expecting to learn the information that was necessary to become a reputable instructor with training. What I got was far more than I expected. I knew you had to make adjustments to do yoga on a wobbly board in the water, but the skills that we added with the WPA certification, gave me the confidence and expert skill set needed to teach SUP Yoga on a paddleboard. Katarina’s guidance was excellent and inspiring. She went above and beyond my expectations.” – Kristie

“The thing I enjoyed most about the training is taking something I love (yoga) and being able to share it in a completely new and unique way. People have the impression that SUP yoga is so hard and they won’t be able to do it, etc – I thought the same thing before the training! However, there is a way to modify every pose and your body and muscles find a way to adapt. The whole experience of being on the water and in the open air with the sun shining down invites in a sort of magical component in which you think ‘how does it get any better than this?’. My ‘aha’ moment was realizing that there are absolutely no limits or things that can’t be done on the board and it allowed space for exploration, growth, and playfulness by letting go of ‘what I’m used to’. I have taught one summer of SUP yoga and can’t wait for the summer to be back out on the water!” – Laura
